Overview

Designed for psychiatrists, this continuing medical education live activity will provide information to maintain and expand competency and medical knowledge. 

Pricing

This activity is a mechanism to claim credit for attendance at the live event held in Myrtle Beach, SC from 9/20 - 9/22/2019.  Attendees will need to enter the Group ID code distributed at the event to enroll in the activity, complete the evaluation and claim and print a certificate by 11/22/2019.  If you have misplaced the Group ID code, please email kelly@ncpsychiatry.org.

Educational Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, the learner will be able to:

  • Critically discuss and evaluate the evidence base for psychiatric practice
  • Examine public policy trends and their potential impact on psychiatric practice
  • Identify emerging clinical practice and research findings and how they may impact practice
  • Apply quality improvement strategies to improve clinical care
  • Identify barriers to care, including health service delivery issues

Target Audience

This activity is intended for psychiatrists, psychologists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, social workers, and administrators.

How to Earn Credit

After evaluating the program, course participants will be provided with an opportunity to claim hours of participation and print an official CME certificate (physicians) or certificate of participation (non-physicians) showing the event date and hours earned.

Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the North Carolina Psychiatric Association. The APA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Psychiatric Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 13.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
