This webinar will take place on September 23, 2024 from 3-6 PM EST.

Description 

The webinar will host a variety of panelists who will share their professional opinions and experiences with medical assistance in dying. Audience members will be able to participate and reflect upon the cross-over between psychiatry and law so that they leave the webinar with a better conception of the nuances related to the topic and a comprehensive understanding of the topic.

  • Analyze the ethical nuances of Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD);
  • Gather a comprehensive understanding of MAiD within legislation and psychiatry; and
  • Consider audience views on the appropriate position for psychiatrist.

How to Earn Credit 

Participants who wish to earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ or a certificate of participation may do so by viewing the live presentation and completing the evaluation. After evaluating the program, course participants will be provided with an opportunity to claim hours of participation and print an official CME certificate (physicians) or certificate of participation (other disciplines) showing the event date and hours earned. 

Continuing Education Credit 

In support of improving patient care, the American Psychiatric Association is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
