Overview

The American Psychiatric Association (APA), continuing its effort as an advocate for promoting equity and diversity in the mental health field, has curated: Equity in Practice: Addressing Maternal Mental Health Disparities.

This learning bundle is tailored for psychiatrists, mental health practitioners, and maternal healthcare providers seeking to deepen their expertise in maternal mental health care. Each module offers a comprehensive, evidence-based exploration of key topics, presented through an equity-focused lens. The series empowers learners to critically analyze the unique challenges faced by marginalized birthing populations and equips them with actionable strategies to address care disparities, enhance patient outcomes, and advance maternal mental health equity in their practice.

The topics covered in the series learning bundle are listed below and will each offer 1 CME credit for participation, for a total of 8 credits. There is not additional credit available for completing all courses listed in this Learning Bundle.

How to Earn Credit

Participants who wish to earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ may do so after completing all sections of the course including the evaluation. After evaluating the program, course participants will be provided with an opportunity to claim hours of participation and print an official CME certificate (physicians) or certificate of participation (non-physicians) showing the completion date and hours earned.
