Overview

Gambling is no longer confined to casinos—it’s embedded in sports, smartphones, gaming, and everyday life. As access expands, so does the risk, often hidden in plain sight in patients across every specialty. This session equips physicians with practical tools to recognize and respond to gambling disorder in real-world clinical settings. Learn how to incorporate efficient screening into your workflow, document appropriately during intake, and apply a biopsychosocial approach to support care across the lifespan. We’ll also examine the physician’s role beyond the exam room, including prevention strategies, advocacy opportunities, and meaningful community engagement in an increasingly “gamblified” environment.
