Description 

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) has impacted and changed the landscape of education with its ability to quickly generate personalized content within seconds. Students and educators alike are finding new and innovative ways of using GAI. Institutions of higher learning are working to create policies that govern this use. This talk will cover some AI fundamentals, mention recent research on AI in education, show examples of how AI has been used in psychiatric education, discuss some limitations of AI and lastly show how institutions of higher learning are addressing its use.

How to Earn Credit 

Participants who wish to earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ may do so after completing all sections of the course including the evaluation. After evaluating the program, course participants will be provided with an opportunity to claim hours of participation and print an official CME certificate (physicians) or certificate of participation (non-physicians) showing the completion date and hours earned. 

Continuing Education Credit  

In support of improving patient care, the American Psychiatric Association is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

The APA designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
