Description 

Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder (CSBD) was officially recognized in the ICD-11 in 2022 but remains excluded from the DSM-5 due to concerns about its validity and legal implications. Despite this controversy, psychiatrists are increasingly encountering patients with compulsive sexual behaviors, often in the context of comorbid psychiatric disorders such as substance use, anxiety, and depression. This session will explore the conceptualization of CSBD, its differentiation from paraphilic disorders, and its potential forensic misuse. Treatment strategies, including both pharmacological and psychotherapeutic approaches, will also be discussed.
