Traumatic brain injury sustained by military service members during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan has been associated with high rates of persistent disability. Much of the increased disability is highly correlated with the severity of accompanying depression and post-traumatic stress symptoms. This presentation outlines the new individualized resting-state fMRI-guided transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment for depressive symptoms in military traumatic brain injury patients.
