This course begins by introducing learners to different models of cultural competence such as cultural competence, cultural humility, cultural safety, and cultural formulation. It then focuses on the evidence base behind the DSM-5 Cultural Formulation Interview (CFI) and studies that have been published since its creation in 2013. It concludes with exercises for learners to consider as they consider barriers to using it in their practice and how they can overcome such barriers.

How to Earn Credit
Participants who wish to earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™ or a certificate of participation may do so by completing all sections of the course including the evaluation. After evaluating the program, course participants will be provided with an opportunity to claim hours of participation and print an official CME certificate (physicians) or certificate of participation (non-physicians) showing the completion date and hours earned.
