Description
Despite being the only FDA-approved treatment for treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS), clozapine remains underutilized due to concerns about side effects, required hematologic monitoring, and prescriber reluctance. This session will provide a practical guide to initiating clozapine in new patients, helping clinicians identify appropriate candidates, implement titration strategies, and manage common side effects. Through case-based learning and discussion, attendees will gain confidence in prescribing clozapine, interpreting blood levels, and navigating administrative requirements such as Clozapine REMS.
